Essential storage
We store your cookie choice in your browser under ww-consent-v1. It remembers your preference until you clear it or change it using Cookie settings. The calculators require no account.
Custom products you add to a comparison are saved locally under ukhc-custom-comparisons-v1, including the product names, energy figures and units you enter. They stay in this browser until you remove them using the comparison controls or clear site storage. They are not uploaded to the public catalogue. Other calculator inputs remain in the current tab.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you accept analytics, and only when the operator has configured a property. It can process device, page and interaction data under Google’s terms, including international processing. Reject analytics to use the tools without it. Use Cookie settings to withdraw consent; the page reloads and removes accessible analytics cookies.
Site search and enquiries
Search runs in your browser. Terms also appear in the page URL and may be received by the hosting provider when that URL is requested. They may appear in provider logs and, if you consent to analytics, page reports. Avoid entering personal or account information. If you email us, your email provider and ours process the message; retain only the information needed to resolve the enquiry.
Affiliate clicks and service logs
When you use a marked offer link, we store its product ID and timestamp to count requests. We do not store your IP or user agent in that click table. The retailer or affiliate network may process its own tracking information under its privacy notice. Hosting providers may process IP addresses, request URLs and technical information to deliver and protect the service. Click records are deleted after 90 days by the worker.
Hosting and retention
Hosting provider: Microsoft Azure: Static Web Apps (West Europe), Container Apps and private storage (UK South). Microsoft 365 correspondence is supplied through GoDaddy.. Provider log retention: The configured Container Apps Log Analytics workspace retains logs for 30 days. Other provider-generated connection, security and service records follow Microsoft's published purpose-based retention criteria and applicable contractual requirements..
Worker run history and affiliate click records are retained for up to 90 days and removed by the scheduled worker. The cloud service keeps 14 days of verified catalogue and operational-table snapshots in private storage, separately from API replicas. Off-site backup copies, if configured, require a documented retention policy. Browser storage can be removed through the comparison controls, cookie settings or your browser settings.
Why information is used
Service requests and operational records support delivery, security and maintenance of the tools. Optional analytics relies on your consent, which can be withdrawn. AdSense is disabled in this MVP. Advertising must only be enabled after approval, privacy notice updates and integration of a Google-certified consent platform. Our analytics choice banner is not an advertising consent platform.
